Little Treasures is a warm, relaxed and friendly environment that offers fun and stimulating activities for all ages. Our team of qualified and experienced staff provide excellent childcare for children, from babies to 5 year olds, when they are ready to go to primary school.

We work with a key person system throughout the nursery, in which each member of staff is responsible for the recording and planning for specific children. They will know the children in their key group extremely well so they know their interests and plan developmental activities in order for the children to progress in all areas.

"Children flourish at this outstanding setting"

- Ofsted 2020

High-quality child care at affordable prices for local families.

Little Treasures Nursery and Pre-school was established in 2000 by two qualified teachers, one of whom already had 11 years experience running pre-schools in the local area.

Two Managers work on site each day and every room has a supervisor with a core team of qualified, experienced staff.

Meals are provided each day including a mid-morning snack, a two course lunch cooked fresh on site by our own cook, and tea later in the afternoon. A real home from home, a happy place where children are able to grow in confidence and self-esteem and where they can learn and develop.

Little Treasures has been deemed ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted twice!

Nursery (Babies - 3 year olds)

We have four rooms in our nursery section, each providing an age appropriate base for each child. Staff provide stimulating and fun activities daily while giving the children the care and security they need to grow in confidence and self esteem.

Activities include sand and water play, playdoh, singing, music and movement, role play, cooking, painting, story time and access to a multitude of good quality educational toys.

Children are monitored in their development in all areas but especially focusing on their physical development, language and social skills.

"Children develop skills and attitudes that prepare them for later life."

"Children's independence skills are highly impressive."

Preschool (3 - 4 year olds)

Children spend at least a year in our pre school building where they are gradually prepared for life in primary school. We follow the EYFS (early years foundation stage) which is started at the nursery and completed at the end of their first year at primary school. Children have free access to a writing area, maths area, creative, construction and  role play areas to name a few. Singing and story time are an important part of the day and focused activities take place promoting language, literacy  and maths skills. Children have the opportunity to take part in French lessons and Football skills at an additional cost.

Links are made with the primary schools we feed into and many send teachers in the Summer term to meet the children moving on to their school.
